COLTS TRADE MAVRIC PARKS TO SAGINAW

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that they have completed a trade with the Saginaw Spirit.

The Colts have sent overage goaltender Mavric Parks to the Spirit
in exchange for forward Mark Scheifele and a second round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.

The Kitchener resident was originally selected in the 7th round, 134th overall in the 2009 draft and has yet to play a game in the OHL.

Last season playing for the Kitchener Dutchmen in Junior B, Scheifele led the team in both assists and points with 18 goals and 37 assists for 55 points in 51 games played.

Heading to Saginaw is goalie Mavirc Parks, who led the Ontario Hockey League last season in both goals against average and save percentage.

Parks was acquired by the Colts at last year’s trade deadline and played in 14 games, going 11-2-0-1.
