The Colts continued to make deals on Monday as yet another trade came through late Monday afternoon.  With the CHL Import Draft ready to take place on Wednesday, the Colts prepared by trading their only import player to the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for Ottawa’s third round pick in 2013.

Beranek was selected 11th overall in the 2010 CHL Import Draft and after a slow start the native of Czech Republic posted eleven goals and 15 assists for 26 points in 54 games played with Barrie.

It was the third trade of the day for the Colts who had made deals with London and Sault Ste. Marie earlier in the day.

Barrie sent their first pick in the Import Draft to London in exchange for the 25th overall selection, a second and third round pick in 2013 and defenceman Reid McNeill

Later the Colts would add another big, physical defenceman by shipping Mackenzie Braid and a seventh round pick to the Greyhounds for Derek Hartwick

The Colts will pick 25th and 61st overall in the CHL Import Draft that gets under way at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
