Marty Williamson Sets Colts Coaching Record!

Marty Williamson moves into the all-time winningest coach in Barrie Colts history!

Head Coach & General Manager, Marty Williamson, has passed the late Dale Hawerchuk to become the all-time winningest Head Coach in Barrie Colts history with his 306th win on February 25th vs Oshawa in a 6-3 win.

Marty Williamson’s first Colts win came on September 25th, 2004 at Belleville which saw the Colts earn a 6-4 victory.

“The entire Colts organization would like to congratulate Marty Williamson on becoming the winningest Head Coach in Barrie Colts history. We are so proud of this special achievement by Marty. Not only has he achieved more Colts wins than our long-time Head Coach and friend, Hall of Famer Dale Hawerchuk, Marty is also the 9th winningest Coach in OHL history. We’re proud to have him as our Head Coach and look forward to many more wins with Marty behind the bench.” Commented Owner & President, Howie Campbell.

During two tenures with the team and 532 games behind the bench, Marty has helped capture two Central Division Wins (2006-07 & 2009-10) & one Eastern Conference Championship (2009-10) as he looks to add more with the current roster.
