Colts Open Postseason On The Road
The Barrie Colts are set to take on the Mississauga Steelheads in the first round of the 2022 playoffs. The Colts last faced off against the Steelheads in the 2018 playoffs where they defeated the Steelheads in six games.
The Colts enter the playoffs with several players hitting career-highs in statistical categories while boosting a lineup of seven NHL property prospects.
The Colts finished the regular season with balanced scoring depth with the team lead in points accomplished by Declan McDonnell, a Tampa Bay Lightning prospect, with 62 points in 63 games. LA Kings prospect and Team Captain, Brandt Clarke, led the team from the back end with a career-high 48 assists for a season total of 59 points. Mack Guzda, a Florida Panthers prospect, backstopped the Colts with a stellar season registering 20 wins and .915 SAV% since joining the Colts in a trade with the Owen Sound Attack. While he only joined late, Philadelphia Flyers prospect, Tyson Foerster, compiled 11 points in 13 games to close out the regular season.
Our first game is Fri. April 22nd followed by April 24th with both being in Mississauga at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre. Our first home game is Mon. April 25th at 7:30 P.M with game four scheduled for Wed. April 27th at 7:30 P.M.
