The Barrie Colts dropped their first game of the pre-season Friday night at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph.

The Storm broke open a tie game in the third period with three straight goals, including a empty-net marker to take the game 4-1.

Guelph`s first three goals all came from point shots that were tipped right in front of the net and beat Alex Fotinos, who played the entire game.

Ryan O`Connor provided the only Barrie goal when he broke in on Sparks and snapped a shot over the goalie`s right shoulder to tie the game at one.

Guelph scored two goals 1:34 apart in the third to separate themselves from the Colts.

This Sunday is Tim Horton’s Day at the BMC; and you have a chance at winning some great prizes courtesy of Tim Horton’s when the Colts host the Rangers for a special 2:00 p.m. puck drop.  Click here for tickets.
