Colts Select Alexey Lipanov with 44th Pick in CHL Import Draft

Barrie, ON – Barrie Colts General Manager & Head Scout Jason Ford announced today that they have selected right winger, Alexey Lipanov in the 1st round, 44th overall in the 2016 CHL Import draft.

Lipanov played most of last season with HK MVD Balashikha in the Molodezhnaya Hockey League, recording 3-5-8 through 32 games played. The 1999, 6’0″ forward also played with Russia in the 2016 U18 IIHF World Junior Championship, where he tallied a goal and 2 assists in 5 games.
