COLTS ACQUIRE MCNEILL AND PICKS FROM LONDON

The Barrie Colts are proud to announce that they have acquired defenceman Reid McNeill from the London Knights.

The Colts traded away the rights to the first overall pick in the Canadian Hockey League Import Draft to get the 6’4” defenceman.

Barrie also gets London’s 25th overall selection in the Import Draft, Mississauga’s second round pick and London’s third round pick in the 2013 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

McNeill has played two full seasons with the Knights picking up eleven points in 115 games played.

Last season the London native played in all but six games for the Knights, registering two goals, four assists and 70 penalty minutes.

The Colts will now pick 25th and 61st overall in the CHL Import Draft that takes place this Wednesday, June 29th starting at 9:00 a.m.  You can follow the draft live by clicking here.
