2018 Under Armour U-18 Priority Selection Results

The 2nd annual Under Armour U-18 Priority Selection Draft took place on April 11th.  This year looked a little different than last year as the teams were to partake in a two round draft and a possible third pick if they decided to take a goaltender with one of their first two selections.

Last year saw the Colts in the first position as they made the inaugural selection in the U-18 draft.  The Barrie Colts decided to take Defensemen Victor Hadfield first overall who played in 27 games this season with the club.

The Colts held the 16th pick in this years draft and selected the following players:

1st Round (16th overall): Goaltender – Christian Filippetti – Don Mills Flyers

2nd Round (36th overall):Defensemen – Tyler Vaccari – Halton Hills Hurricanes

3rd Round (51st overall): Right Winger – Alex Bourre – Central Ontario Wolves

“We are pleased to welcome these additions to the Barrie Colts family” said Barrie Colts General Manager, Jason Ford.
